Before independence, women were curbed to stay inside their houses by the society. Though they had a lot of potential, they were not able to express them. After independence, women slowly started to come out of their homes and found their opportunities wide open in this world. This was the start of the growth of women, which has climbed up enormous amount of heights today. The growth has gone up above 50%.
