Some years ago, pregnancy and begetting a child was difficult. Today, the medical technology has improved a lot and scan and other medical facilities prove to increase the birth rate. Still women face problems during and after pregnanacy. Now-a-days, growth of feotus is gauged via an ultrasound scan during the 12th week. If the feotus has any rectifiable problem, then it is taken out and the problem is corrected and again placed right back to its position. This is done after the feotus is a few months old (8 months). If the problem is not rectifiable, then the feotus is aborted. So many problems occur during pregnancy, but there are many kinds of tests to detect those. To detect malignancy and pre-malignancy in the cervix, Pap smear test is done. Blood test is done to detect diabetes and blood pressure during pregnancy which affects the feotus. Generally doctors advice the couple to take up a gene test before their marraige. This is actually done to improve the generation of quality feotus. The favourable genes of the couple are identified and the feotus is incorporated with those genes. This happens in the case of test tube babies and serrogate mothers. Doctors also advice to avoid late marraige as it may cause down syndrome for the baby. 6. Drinking garlic milk to feed the child (after child birth)
